Champagne Wishes

Commissioned by Spiegelworld for the opening of Robin’s Nest bar at the Atomic Saloon, named in honour of legendary entertainment reporter Robin Leach. Leach is depicted in the painting wearing a red riding jacket and drinking a flute of champagne. As host of television’s Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, he was known for his catchphrase “champagne wishes and caviar dreams.”

Based in Los Angeles, Christopher Ulrich’s surreal iconographic images have adorned museums and galleries worldwide. He is influenced by the richness of ancient mythology, the mystery of alchemy, and the vastness of cosmic reality.
