Amy Turner is a renowned artist, who works on commission, and has collectors in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, and Hong Kong. Her work has been featured on HGTV’s That’s Clever, a TV advertisement for Naked Grape Wine, the David Spade TV show, and Sundance Film. She has a series of murals at LA Elementary school, and volunteers at LAUSD art classes. She was influenced and learned from her father, a dentist and artist. He showed her the way to find beauty and art everywhere. He taught Amy to be fearless. It is a wonderful legacy, and she strives to pass it on in her work. She loves finding discarded or ‘odd’ pieces at yard sales, and always tries to come into the process with a clear mind for up-cycled future artwork pieces; it is a collaboration with inanimate objects, with the goal of bringing them to life. Amy has also been doing Dog Portraits for 15 years, and is acclaimed for her work. She also donates her work to many animal rescue shelters for auctions. Says Amy, “The marriage of my love of dogs and art is perfect for me.”
